Emma Postlethwaite -WrApz® Advertising and Media

Emma used to be a keen runner until a full cartilage transplant on her ankle in 2012 caused her to resort to lower impact sports. She was a keen cross country and middle distance runner in high school and college, but Emma failed to keep this up during her university years. A few years later she took up the sport again and built up to half marathon distances, competing in many events ranging between 10Km to 20Km.

Emma started suffering from ankle pain in 2009 and diagnostic tests showed that the cartilage had worn away in her left ankle. She underwent a full cartilage transplant in January 2012 at the Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, North Wales. Emma now spends a lot of time walking with the family Labrador and enjoying a more sedentary pace of life. Four years ago, she also learnt to snowboard and has enjoyed winter holidays in the Courchevel, La Plagne, Tignes, Montgenevre and Serre Chevalier.

"When I was running I always found bright sunny days difficult due to unsuitable eyewear. I found that the glasses I wore failed to stay in the right place either due to heavy frames or lack of non-slip nose bridges and it became frustrating to be pushing them up all of the time. Combine this with frequent fogging up and I usually resorted to running without eye protection. At the time I was unwilling to pay through the roof for a pair of glasses just for running, and I now know that a pair of Trailbreakers would have done the job perfectly if they had been available at the time." "I am really excited to be working with the guys at WrApz® Eyewear and am extremely impressed with the quality of the glasses they have manufactured. From the design features and technology, to the combination of lenses and frames available, the products are amazing value for money without compromising on style. I have no doubt that these WrApz® products are going to revolutionise sports eyewear."
